The Sentinels in the Woods, Night Underwater
(after Philip Jackson & Jason deCaires Taylor)
Stumbling upon them, my pulse picks up
Three stoics, volcanic worn, Pompeii gone survivalist
Smoothed as they ascend towards the canopy
A symbiotic community few will see firsthand
Beauty buried in the deep, dark web
Spawning new life
