When Alice Became the Rabbit

Carroll told it wrong: there was no waistcoat or pocket watch.  Nobody was in a hurry
or late, and my transformation had nothing to do with size.   I never fell.  I descended
into my own realm, as weightless as a bubble.  Only the wind whimpered. The truth
is that I always knew who I was and who I would become.  Je suis un rêve, une reine.
In this Wonderland, the birds bestow wings. Cats still smile while riddles perk ears, but
we have finally learned how to stare down the madness, freed hearts kept as bluesy
companions, our life story ghosting at margins, facts burrowing under the frame of fiction.

This is wonderful, both the art and the poem and the fit between. Heads up: the wordpress link doesn't take us anywhere, which is a shame because some of us think you're work would be worth exploring!

What a wonderful and original take by Cyndi MacMillan on Lorette Luzajic's adaptation of the Marchesa Casati as Alice in Wonderland transformed into the White Rabbit!. Magical!
