The Insistence of Memory
How and what do we remember? How do our memories shape our lives and the meaning we give to our stories?
Join Meg Pokrass and Lorette for our first of the Creative Alchemy Sessions on zoom!
The theme this time is The Insistence of Memory, a live generative prose poetry experience.
We will look at a couple of prose poems on the theme of memory and discuss them as a group, then use them to inspire our own prose poems. We will have a variety of creative exercises using visual art, photos, words, and other kinds of prompts, aimed at writing prose poems exploring true and imagined memories. There will be time for some optional sharing and discussion of our drafts as well.
This 2.5 hr session, led by Meg and Lorette, is 60$ Canadian, which is about $44 USD. Your bank will make the exchange automatically.
These sessions will be recorded for participants, as time zone differences and schedules are tricky, and some may not be able to attend in person. Recordings will be available to view for 2 weeks after the event.
