Forsaken, forgotten
So black
I do not want to measure     time
that invented this pain.

The poor miscellany

Where does your pride go?Oh sadness. Sunk in the blue-black grooves
Surround me.

Black cloud sticks its tongue
Out.

Loyal captain
Tell me
Show me the place in the cloudsThe valley of waves
Here it is night
No wheel turns anymore.
Darkness does not know itself.
Nor does it ask.
It is a fist within a fist

The sea

Nothing to see.
Nothing to feel.

   willing to transform
 offer           to the new world.
no ship will bring her back

Finally!
Freedom!

The rainbow is floating
They stand in that garden
     I want to visit them
     I want to greet them
    count their noses,

Whoosh! The loveliest vowel empties.

Sara Castaneda

This cento was made with lines from the following poems by Meret Oppenheim:
Forsaken
I Feel How My Eyes Turn
Untitled
Loyal Captain
The Sea Lies Frozen on the Beach
Finally!
Up There In That Garden
The Loveliest Vowel Empties
