Character development is an essential part of writing fiction. But in flash fiction there is very little space to convey the backstory. In this workshop, we will talk about how to craft vivid, believable characters that readers care about, and ways we can do that in so few words. We will mine visual art for inspiration and look at ways that art and artists can help us conjure living and memorable characters.
