The Ekphrastic Resolution- January Writing Boot Camp
The Ekphrastic Resolution
31 Day Writing Challenge
Beat the winter blues and kickstart the new year with a big boost to your writing practice!
The Ekphrastic Resolution is a thirty-one day writing bootcamp. You will have the opportunity to generate 31 works of poetry, prose, and fiction.
January 1 through January 31, 2021
You will receive an email each day before midnight for the following day’s assignment.
It will include an art prompt from a diverse, interesting range of styles, subjects, and origins. There will be a call to action along with the prompt, designed to stretch your writing muscles, inspire your imagination, and give you a path to deeper engagement with art.
You will have one day to craft a short work from each day’s prompt, and you can submit them same day or following day. Selected works from The Ekphrastic Resolution will be published in a special ebook, and there will also be several showcases from submissions featured online at The Ekphrastic Review.
Of course you can use the prompts forever and work on them anytime. (Only works sent in to boot camp deadline will be considered for showcases and the anthology.) You can skip days or choose to participate as you see fit according to your schedule. We encourage you to commit to the whole boot camp, even if you choose to spare only 30 to 60 minutes each day. It will be a very rewarding way to start the year as a writer, and a great survey in art appreciation as well.
The Ekphrastic Resolution boot camp is just one US dollar per day!!!!!
Your purchase is a tremendous support to the journal, and we are very grateful.
