Join Meg Pokrass and Lorette C. Luzajic for a unique writing workshop. Many of us have severe chronic illnesses or debilitating pain, or we love someone who does, yet we tend to downplay the effects or censor ourselves, suppressing, deflecting, distracting, or denying the reality of our experiences. Here is a place designed for you to think and write honestly and openly about a taboo subject, in any way that works for you. Each writer will use flash fiction, CNF, or poetry as they are moved. We will use artworks by artists who struggled with chronic pain or illness to help inspire our words, along with prompts and exercises that encourage deep thinking on our theme and its many implications in real life. There will be a list of literary works in different genres on the subject as well. This workshop will be asynchronous and take place in a private Facebook group so that all schedules and time zones can be accommodated. Click here to sign up or learn more.
