​Contemplation on Cove
 
You pull me in
with centrifugal grandeur
Are you real 
or my deepest fear swirling up in Ecstasy?
Impenetrable Darkness
barricaded off by your enticing
Golden Belt
or is it just a beach in sunshine glory?
 
Your blackhole-shell
mirrored in the patient sea
Seductive emerald green
teasing me downward
like dimples in a benevolent face
 
Rock formations only to the right
framing your gaping mouth
Staggered charcoal with roots in violent red
 
Raven Hole
you’re pulling me in
Yet, swirling sunlight seeding diamonds
into the patient soil of ocean depths
Glowing carpet bowl
keeps me rooted in the here and now
 
And then –
The unexpected horror
facing faces down below
in golden water cave
far out-measuring your impenetrable gazing gate
 
Clever ones
Sad ones
Suspicious ones
Horrifying ones
Fragmented ones
 
Kaleidoscope of spirits
 
Skeleton emerging
Monstrous wolf-man
Regal ancient cat
 
Smiling faces – screaming faces
layered fragments blending with each other
merging with a mighty deer
 
Sediments of human life and history
 
Darkness you draw me in
Black Hole of long-lost Womb
Golden Promise – Nectar Bridge
Glowing Belt of the Abyss
Slicing the Unknown in Half
 
Brazen Bridge or Barrier
Are you the New Horizon Path?
Inviting us for more behind the Veil?
 
Attraction and Repulsion
Do I really want to know
what’s on the Other Side?
 
Let me surrender
and 
follow your Dark Call
into my innermost Self –
