The Ekphrastic Review turns four today!!!!!!
Thank you so much to all of our writers, readers, guest editors, contributors, supporters, and friends for making this happen. We are excited about all kinds of things moving forward. We will continue to publish an astonishing range of ekphrastic writing. We are also going to start featuring book reviews, author interviews, essays on ekphrastic topics, and writer profiles, as well as, we hope, more translations. Visit our submissions page for our new guidelines. We are also looking for a volunteer Prize Committee, with the hopes of being able to honour our writers and promote our journal by nominating entries for literary prizes. If you are a regular reader and widely published writer, and you'd like to be part of our prize committee, send us an email with a note letting us know why you'd like to participate. Please put "prize committee" in subject line. We have a new SUPPORT page, too. Reading submissions, posting, responding, and general maintenance takes around sixty hours a month of the editor's "spare time." It's something deeply meaningful to me and I love spreading the ekphrastic word and posting your poetry. If you love what we do, too, and are able, please consider a small or large gift. Click here to give. There is no obligation now or ever and we do not and will not charge reading fees, and reading us will always be free to everyone. But if you are moved to give, thank you, and thank you to those who have supported us in the past. Much appreciated. Finally, we have a great new feature that we hope will be of mutual benefit to our amazing community of writers and the journal. We have started a Book Shelf for ekphrastic books and for other books by our contributors. Listings are an amazing value at $25 for one year. Help us grow our book shelves by clicking here. Happy birthday to The Ekphrastic Review! Thank you all for being part of the ekphrastic family.

Happy anniversary and congratulations, Lorette Luzajic! A fellow poet (I no longer remember which one, since I know so many poets here virtually) announced she had a poem up on your site. I instantly fell in love. But what I especially admire is how you've taken a friendly, responsive, lovely zine and keep making it better. You're expanding your concept, sharing more of your own art, and building a community. Thank you! May The Ekphrastic Review have a long, rich life.
