 Click here to join us online for an afternoon of ekphrastic prose poetry. We will talk about prose poetry, its history and controversy, who writes it, who defines it, who reads it. We'll read some prose poetry as well. We will discuss some ways that visual art can inspire our poetry (and our stories!) We will work on writing a couple of prose poems and some brainstorming exercises. If you're not sure where you stand on prose poetry, or if you love it or lump it, why not come out and find out more. This editor adores prose poetry and I'll share that enthusiasm with you. This workshop is $30 CAD, or about $25 USD. Our workshops are small group discussions, supportive, welcoming and challenging. Ekphrastic Prose Poetry Join us for an online workshop on ekphrastic prose poetry. Prose poetry is a controversial and popular literary form that straddles the worlds between poetry and micro/flash fiction. Discover, read and write prose poetry, inspired by visual art. Monday May 2, 2022 from 2 to 4 PM EST Doors open at 1.45 PM EST, for those who wish to meet and mingle. Workshops often go over by 15 minutes. We prefer to end them organically after our last discussion and exercise, rather than abruptly. We send Zoom links on the day of the event. We aim to have interesting, informative content and challenging exercises to inspire your art journey and writing practice. We encourage discussion and sharing. No refunds for cancellations, sorry. We will happily move you to a future workshop if you cannot attend.
