Prose poetry is, simply stated, poetry written in prose. 


This kind of poetry is not difficult or complex to master in form- you simply use paragraphs as in prose. But without falling back on broken lines and interesting spaces, it can prove surprisingly daunting and reveal your poetry to be quite naked!


In this Zoom workshop, we will look at different approaches, techniques, and elements that we can use when writing prose poetry. 


We will take a closer look at prose poetry by reading several fine examples.


This workshop will feature some works of visual art to prompt our prose poetry exercises, but our emphasis in this workshop is on prose poems rather than visual art history or discussion.
