Today I Feel Like Monet A tedious winter even for the Midwest – like page after page of Impressionist paintings printed in black and white. Finally the cold steps away for a moment, but tries today to wipe spring from its canvas. I smile at the tiny flags of green waving victory. And like Monet I think I’m the first to discover that every green is its own green, sometimes not green at all, but lavender or yellow. This piece exemplifies how a Poet can successfully write an ekphrastic poem that would also stand alone without the art..beautiful..
